Will Clift’s signature sculptures continue his 20-year dialogue with balance, the moment between motion and stillness, entropy and order. A Santa Fe native, Clift studied engineering, psychology and systems thinking, earning both a BS and MS from Stanford. This training, combined with his aptitude for incorporating an ever-widening body of materials, has allowed him to continually play with and push the limits of structure and finish in his sculptures.

The works in this exhibit demonstrate his growth over recent years. The materials range from aerospace-inspired carbon fiber composite to a stucco finish he mixes out of local clay. Some forms are precise and graceful, others fractured and tenuous. All can be read as his reactions to his internal and external world.
